Join 25 folks at the Museum of Northwest Art and tour the Alfredo Arreguin, "Painter from the New World" exhibit, as well as, from the museum's private collection, "In Pursuit of Abstraction", by the professors at the University of Washington School of Arts in the 1960s. MoNA's executive director, Stefano Catalani will guide the tour. Light appetizers from Santo Coyote along with wine and/or soft drinks will be served as you enjoy these two beautiful exhibits. The cost is $30 per person, and the event will be September 15th from 5:30 to 7:30.
Join local bird expert Jed Holmes for a half-day guided tour of the top birdwatching hotspots of the Skagit Valley. The tour will be specially tailored to find your favorite feathered friends, from owls, eagles and falcons to swans, geese and oystercatchers. The tour can be scheduled at your convenience during the winter birding season (Dec – March) and will accommodate up to six participants. Enjoy a day out on the Salish Sea in a 20 foot Hewes Craft with Patsy Good and her son Marcus Tellvik. They will take you out to the best location for crabbing and set the pots. While the pots are soaking, they will take you for a cruise or a hike, and feed you a specially prepared lunch as you enjoy the beauty of the Salish Sea. Mutually agreed upon date to be determined by donor and buyer. Next year's crab season is an option.
